Trans* Jersey now has a monthly meeting providing peer-to-peer support for all people under the trans/non-binary/genderqueer umbrella at any stage (or none) of exploration or transition.
The group is intended to be a confidential, safe, friendly and informal space to meet and talk. We aren’t open at the moment to partners or parents of trans/non-binary people, but this may be something we do in the future. (Please note: the group is not facilitated by medical professionals so cannot and does not offer professional/medical advice or opinions.)
If you are worried about coming to a group like this because you won’t know anyone or you are not sure you will be brave enough to talk, we can reassure you that the group is very relaxed and informal. It’s not counselling so we don’t sit around in a circle and say “I’m … and I’ve been non-binary for 3 years” etc! You can say as much or as little as you would like to, when you are ready to do so.
Please email firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
