In 1969 trans women of colour led the rioters at the Stonewall Inn, which led to the first US Pride march in 1970. Today, the transgender and gender non-binary community are again in the firing line as advancements in rights are rolled back, gender issues are excluded from Government consideration, and media campaigns are waged against the community.
This slogan borrows from one of the Civil Rights Movement in the USA, which spoke to black and white segregation, but with the banning of trans athletes from competing, and the demands for trans people to be incarcerated in prisons, or use toilets/changing rooms, matching their gender assigned at birth, it seemed appropriate to re-use it.
Trans segregation is discrimination!
