Liberate offers support to anyone living and working in Jersey who identifies as transgender, non-binary or gender non-conforming, or intersex through its Trans* Jersey group. It is estimated that about 1% of the population will be gender non-conforming.

Trans* Jersey was founded by Vic Tanner Davy in May 2014 to collect and share information to support Jersey’s transgender population through transition. It has since grown to support anyone who may be questioning their gender or identifying as a non-binary gender.

Trans* Jersey has a public website and Twitter feed. Its Facebook page is restricted to members only to maintain the privacy of the group. Trans* Jersey also runs regular monthly meetings for members with social events and peer-to-peer support on offer.
